Peace

19:43

How would you define peace? Is it the absence of war? Or is it something more than that?

In one of my classes, we were asked to make a paper crane - a peace crane. And it made me think, what really is peace? Let's see what the dictionary has to say about it. It says that peace is the freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility. Also, peace is freedom from or the cessation of war or violence.

For my own definition, I would focus more on tranquility. Rather, focus on how I would get personal peace.
We deal with things everyday and it is inevitable that our state of calmness be disturbed: each day includes a lot of decision making, as well as matters that you really need to comprehend on. How would you find peace within you despite all the things that you me feel lost?

Simple. You need to sort things out. Know priorities, write them down. If you have a schedule of tasks, it will definitely help. In this way, you will find it easier to manage things and you wouldn't have to worry how you will finish tasks on time. Also, you should stop slacking and start working. Personally, that's one of my mantras. Whenever I need to do something, I try my best not to procrastinate and cram hours/minutes before something is due.

If something's bothering you and you know to yourself that your peace has been disturbed, seek help from your friends and family members. That sounded very generic but trust me, it's true. It's not healthy that you'll deal with things by your own: you'll be more stressed and the next thing you'll know is that your peace had gone so thin and you just can't bring it back. Speaking of guidance, you also need to seek the help of God. He may not be there physically beside you but know that He's there, with his ears ready to listen. Always pray: you'll be guided and your peace will definitely be back.

And with that, I'll leave you this song. A song that is one of the choices for our performance in one of my subjects, as our final exam. I really like this song; no more descriptions, just listen to it. :-)
